Born to Run: the book
The book behind B2R
Born to Run by Christopher McDougall
Born to Run is the book that started B2R. McDougall, an award-winning journalist and often-injured runner, set out to learn how the Tarahumara of Mexico's Copper Canyons run extreme distances. The story runs from Harvard labs to the valleys of North America and ends in a race between American ultra-runners and the Tarahumara.
Runner Eric Swartz read it, wanted the training behind it, and B2R followed. The book is sold by retailers, not by B2R.
Read the book. Then train the feet.
The B2R Training System is the foot strength and technique work the story points to: a Slant Wobble Board, balance poles and stability disks with a three-level video program. Every runner starts at Level 1.
