Foot strength for everyday feet

Heel and arch pain? Start with stronger feet.

You don't have to be a runner to have tired, achy feet. Long days on hard floors, supportive shoes that do the work for you, and years of not using the small muscles in your feet all add up. The B2R Training System gives you simple, guided exercises on a slant wobble board to build strength in your feet and ankles, at home, a few short sessions a week.

Guided foot strength training you can do at home.

Not medical advice. If you have pain, check with your doctor or physical therapist first.

YOUR FEET

Your feet do more work than you think

Each foot has 26 bones and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, and every step you take lands on them. Modern shoes do a lot of the work for the small muscles under the arch, so most of us never train them on purpose.

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS

Strength, not just stretching

Research on heel pain has been looking more at strengthening. In a 2015 trial, people with plantar fasciitis who did progressive strength training reported better foot function after three months than people who only stretched (Rathleff et al., 2015). B2R is not a medical treatment, but it gives you a simple, guided way to build foot and ankle strength at home.

THE PROGRAM

Simple sessions, with something to hold

Level 1 includes the B2R Slant Wobble Board, balance poles and the Level 1 video. The board tilts your foot so the arch and ankle work on every repetition, and the poles keep you steady while you learn. Start gently and build up as your feet get stronger.

How the levels work

Pick your bundle

Most people start with Level 1. It includes balance poles, so you always have support while you learn.

Reviews

Stronger from the ground up

  • [B2R] aims to strengthen the entire foot, which as yogis and martial artists know, strengthens the entire body. After runs on the Mesa Trail and working with [B2R's] DVD and strengthening platform, I'm sold.

  • The results, particularly in the area of stability, were incredible. It's a great supplementary program that I'll be using for a long time.

  • The Slant Board is very solid and built in such a way that it is much more challenging to balance on than it looks.

Common questions

Do I need to be a runner?

No. The exercises build strength in your feet and ankles, which matters for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet. Runners use B2R to support their form, but the Level 1 work is about strength and balance, not running.

Will this fix my plantar fasciitis?

We can't promise that, and we don't make medical claims. B2R is a strength training program, not a treatment. If you have heel pain or a diagnosed condition, check with your doctor or physical therapist before you start, and stop any exercise that causes pain.

Is the board hard to balance on?

It's meant to be a little unstable. That's how it gets the muscles in your feet working. Level 1 includes balance poles, so you can hold on while you learn each movement.

How do I get the training videos?

Your training videos are online. After checkout we email you a link to watch or download them, so you can start the day your equipment arrives.

What if it isn't for me?
